Neglectfulness

Good morning little bloggers.  Seems I've been quite neglectful of my blogging responsiblities lately.  I've been a busy, busy bee, too busy even for you.

It's an exciting time at the Muir household.  The apple tree is in full bloom.  I love looking out my windows, seeing beautiful white blooms.  So pretty.

Terrible pictures from a blackberry (taken for efficiency sake - the fancy new camera has all these buttons that I possess none of the patience (or desire) required to learn about them), but you get the gist.

The man says:  Yup and it will be cut down soon, so enjoy.

He's a meanie sometimes.

If the tree would just stay like that - with those sweet graceful little white flowers, life would be perfect.  But you see, these delectible red apples form and while they are good apples and have produced many an apple crisp and apple cake and apple muffins, the yard is also filled with bruised apples that attract these nasty little things called wasps.  And so, between the fear of the dog swallowing wasps as he chows down on the bruised apples and the fear of getting swarmed by wasps ourselves when we step outside, the decision was made last Fall to chop it down.

*sigh*

So sad.

And for other exciting news.....

I think we might wipe all the dust forming on the bicycles in the garage and take them for a spin today.  It's time for the Semi-Annual Muir Household Bike Tour.  Oh fun!  Nothing like bruising your nether regions and having rubber legs for the sake of a little exercise.  How we love going for bike rides in this house!

Hope you all enjoyed your long weekend little bloggers.

Until next time.
